wrap n mat?

I have a question about these.. has anyone been using one for a long time? i was just able to actually look at and touch one the other day, and i'm wondering how long they last before needing to be replaced?

We bought some late last year - I think in November. Two of them have ripped along the seam (it was last week or the week before that it happened).

There is another similar option though that I just heard about - happy sacks. I haven't used these though, so I can't comment on how well they hold up.

I have two wrap-n-mats and use one daily (so the two have kind of been rotated) for more than a year now (I think). They still look pretty much like new.

I have had mine for over a year and they still look great - no rips or anything. I hand wash them though. Probably machine washing would wear them out faster. I am going to try happy sacks too. The coop filled up in like 1 minute!

I have 3 and they are all holding up great!

I'm going to be the dissenting voice and say that ours have not held up well AT ALL. I really love them, but they only lasted for about a year before they got tears and the inner plastic began to stiffen and crack. I am hoping to find similar plastic somewhere so that I can replace the liners.

Does anyone have the skinny on what the wrap-n-mats are lined with? In my quest to remove the plastic from the house, I had to pause before I jumped the gun and bought some of these. Any thoughts on that?

Different prints are lined with different types of plastic...here's a link to the types:

Unfortunately, the ones that use PEVA (the safest from my research) are MIC. But that's what we use. Reusablebags.com will only sell the PEVA lined, so that's a good place to look if you want to go with PEVA.

Ours have held up really well and we use them all the time and have for over a year. I do have one where the plastic melted a bit but it was my fault for putting something really hot on it. We hand wash our mostly, but I do throw them in the washing machine periodically.

The company stands behind their product and should replace those that have had issues.

one of mine went through the washer and dryer and bled color and shrunk, but it is still usable. One disappeared and I have one in great shape. I use them 1-2x per month for 3 years? I only hand wash.

Just got an email from the happy sacks rep. She's very nice. They use nylon for their liners. I can't seem to find any info. on it's safety. Anyone?
