Shaklee Products VS. Vinegar, Baking Soda and Dr. Bronners - Page 2

So, if you've used both shaklee and bs/vinegar/dr. bronners, which way would you choose? I'm about to move and I'm down to the end of my cleaning products (organic stuff from the HFS here) and I'm trying to decide which way to go. Any suggestions about what you think works best and is most cost effective? TIA!

I just very recently switched from vinegar/ water to shaklee h2. I have been using vinegar/ water for about 4 years and I was just kinda burnt on it. Someone through my produce co-cop sells Shaklee, so I got it through her. I really like it! I got the spray bottles thru them, too. I think it was $6.95 for 3 - which I didnt find to be expensive at all. They work great. The h2 all purpose is super concentrated - so it is *2 DROPS* plus 16 oz water for windows and *1/4 tsp* plus 16 oz water for all-purpose. I think the $10.00 bottle will last a year or so. I burned through vinegar pretty quick, so I didnt think it was that expensive.

I searched for ingredients on the web and found that it is mainly coconut derived surfactants (sp?)

Great stuff, although I do still use bs/ borax for tub and toilet.

I absolutely prefer the Shaklee over the bs/vinegar/Dr. B's. I'm using the H2 for glass/mirrors, sinks, toilets, kitchen table and countertops and floors. They have an awesome scrubbing paste that I use for my sink. I'm using the dish soap, which is also awesome and dishwasher detergent. I'm extremely pleased with all of it!

I've never used Dr. Bronner's, but do use vinegar and baking soda. I've also used Basic H (now Basic H2) for years. My mom and grandma have used Shaklee stuff forever. I only use the Basic H, but my Grandma uses the laundry detergent (she still has some of the Basic L, which has been replaced by something else now) and I think the Basic G. I really like it. You only have to use about 2 drops of the Basic H and it cleans really well. It's better at getting the grime off of the stove than vinegar.

I've had the same bottle of Basic H for over a year. It lasts forever. I do want to try their laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent.

A family friend sells Shaklee, so I'm never pressured. That said, I have been approached by 2 other people that sell it and they have never pressured me, either.

Are Shaklee ingredients all natural? Probably not organic?

So is it healthier for the home than for example Melaleuca?

And is it healthier than vinegar... (I have grains based)?

I'm starting to go green, and have a lot to learn!!
