TF bookswap

I've been looking around for different TF books, not being able to afford all the ones I'd love to own. I belong to PaperbackSwap.com but they seem to have little to nothing in the TF department.

I thought maybe it would help a lot of us if we could get a bookswap going. Just like the kefir thread, ISO/IHA lists could be posted so mamas with books could find others to trade with/send to.

Posts could be a request for trade or a PIF (pay it forward, where you are willing to send the book without getting one in trade from the same person). PIFs are probably easier as it won't require matching owners with seekers.

It would be easiest if everyone paid their own shipping (books are generally affordable to ship) when possible. We could suggest a reasonable time limit for keeping the book so that it stays in circulation for other people to request. Is one month enough or should we say two? After reading the book you then come back to this thread and announce that is available.

I'm sure more details would need to be worked out, but is anyone interested?

I could kick things off by offering my copy of NT, PIF ok if you don't have a book I need. I am currently ISO Omnivore's Dilemma or a good cheesemaking book.

If you want to join in, make sure you sub to the thread!

Oh, this is a good idea

I have EFLF that I can loan out right now if anyone is looking to read it .

I am currently hoping to get a hold of Wild Fermentation or the Untold Story of Milk.

I'd be into it, but I reference my TF books way to often to swap them. And about PBS, it used to be great but it's been disappointing lately.

I agree, PBS has been a real dud for me too recently.

I am sure there are certain titles we'd hold onto forever but others we read and move on from... and like I'm finding with babywearing and wraps, there's always another one out there that I think I really need, lol.

I know someone interested in EFLF, I'll send her to this thread.
