6 Weeks-Can it be?

I haven't been around much lately-adjusting to two kids-whew!

I can't believe it's been 6 weeks already. Time sure does fly. It's so weird to be reading birth announcements here (and still some that are pregnant).
On Tuesday we went to our last midwife appointment. I'm all healed-Yay! And Eleanor is healthy and growing like a weed. 13 lbs 8 oz. At this rate I'm going to need a new carseat in another month. I'm just amazed at how different each kid can be. My first was so "high needs" and this one is so easy (not much comfort-nursing, puts herself to sleep, sleeps in the co-sleeper). Makes me want to have another one.

Crazy isn't it? Izzy is 6 weeks on Friday and my last appointment is today. We have been referred to a pediatrician for her reflux.

It's funny how babies/pregnancies can be so different. After a really painful vbac I am seriously reconsidering my plan to have 4 kids. I just don't know if I can go through another drug free back labor. If I do change my mind it won't be until both are in school. I'll be 31 then so still lots of time.

yep! Katie was six weeks on monday. SOB! Glad to hear you are both doing well! I was in the stirrups and my midwife said "boy that healed up nicely!" and I wanted to say- "yup! you do damn good work, woman!"

It all goes so dang fast! I was just looking at my DD1's feet today. They aren't the feet of a bitty girl anymore... they're the toes of a young girl. I don't WANT them to grow up!

That's funny. I had a third degree tear and was sewn up by the same doc who did the c-section. I despise her but she is well known for her skill at sewing.

According to both my midwives and my dh you can't even tell where the tear was. Yippee!

Anyone else skipping the 6 week post partum check up for now? I SO don't want anyone looking at my cooter just yet. I've stopped bleeding, no pp depression and not even thinking about birth control (we would need to have sex for that, lol).

I too can't believe how different kids can be. I have the opposite of all together ooky - my first is a very laid back person (as a baby and now as a 4.5 yr old) and Graeme is more high needs - happiest being held, screams bloody murder when getting his dipey changed, etc. etc.

I'm starting to see so much more of his personality now that he's a day or two shy of 6 weeks. He's SUCH an Aries!

Time does fly. 7 weeks and counting. Definately different than my dd. DOes not like to be put down at all unless in the swing.

Physically I bounced back pretty quick much faster than my first but mentally with 2 its been hectic and challenging. I seem not to have any time to myself anymore and I feel I get frustrated a lot easier. We are still adjusting to 2. I thought it would be easier!

I don't have a lot of time to be on the computer it seems and I miss all my mdc mama friends.!!!!

DS is 7 weeks old today, and like everyone else, I'm asking myself, "Where did the time go?!" But these 7 weeks have been incredible. This parenting two kids gig has come so easily to me, and I am so happy I could explode. Part of it is that DS is so much more laid back than my DD was, but I'm also more laidback this time than I was the first time. Before he was born, I was convinced that I wanted to stop after two children, but now I'm not so sure.

I miss being on the computer too. Just no time. I'm glad my baby is so easy, but the 4-year-old is driving me nuts! I feel like I'm always nagging her. Ugh.

I hear ya! However my baby is quite fussy and only happy when held/in sling, and my 4 year old is bored so on me constantly to entertain her. I feel so bad that I don't have the patience I used to have before sleep deprivation kicked in...And my 2 year old is a typical busy little guy that never stops...I know in a few years I will miss these crazy moments though so I am trying not to wish the time away.

I could have written that post, Erika, except for the 2 yr old part!

I know, time's a flyin'! Zoe is almost 2 months old. *sigh* I guess babies are meant to grow up though...
