awful episode of The View today!!!

Did anyone else see it this morning? It was ridiculous! I don't have time to type out the whole thing right now, but they went on and on about their young male intern that was "exposed" to a woman on the train, breastfeeding her baby. They kept saying that she just "whipped it out" and implied that since this young intern likes to look at "hot" women that he was particually horrified to see a breast in a non-sexual context. They also gave their collective opinion that they don't understand what is the "big deal" with breastfeeding and mocked the idea that breastfeeding likely increases IQ.

arrrghh.

Ugh. Every once in a while, the TV gets left on that channel after I watch the news, and I feel my IQ drop a few points listening to that trash. (Unlike with my soap - GL! )

Did anyone see the Ricki Lake interview for "Business of Being Born"? They kept asking her about her Liftime movie, and she'd say something and then mention BoBB. It was entertaining.
Oh yes, and they were more interested in her weight loss than BoBB.

That show makes me wanna punch the TV.

I am so not a fan of that show anyways. You'd think, being women, they'd support women's roles as mothers. THey're infuriating.

I honestly don't understand what the big deal is about boobs. I've got 'em, you've got 'em, and billions of other women have 'em. They're not that exciting - they're just FLESH. Granted they're milk making flesh but seriously, what is so sexual about them? There's nothing sexier than fat and milk ducts?? OYE.

Yeah there was a nurse-in outside the studio (I am pretty sure) for somethings Barbra Walters has said before about breast feeding.

Yes a nurse-in was held at ABC HQ in New York in I believe 2005? - I wanted to sneak over there from work to join but got held up in meetings and couldn't. It was in response to Barbara Walters on the View, stating that she had sat next to a nursing mother on a plane and it made her "uncomfortable" - the rest of the hosts on the show then proceeded to speak disparagingly of women who NIP. I have never seen the show, but I read that on another occasion the ladies did a little celebration for one host (Elizabeth?) who nursed her newborn - when she finally saw the light and gave her first bottle of formula.
