Songs about babies?

Any of your LOs love music? What songs do you sing or play for them?

Caleb loves being heaped over my shoulder and likes to hear me sing "Don't Pull Your Love" by Grassroots.
No idea why, but it works and it often makes him calm down and go to sleep.
If the radio is playing he is in heaven, he also likes to watch me lead music.
I don't know why, (well, maybe I do) but he hates Madonna's voice there is just something about it. He shrieks during "Like a Prayer" or whatever it is called when it is on the radio.

So? Any favorite tunes yet?

Izzy doesn't show any interest yet. DD1 on the other hand would only go to sleep at night to "Ode to My Family" by the Cranberries. She has since graduated to anything by James Blunt.

so far she likes bikini kill, ani difranco, radiohead and johnny cash. she didnt seem to like bob dylan though. oh well.

Amanda, OT but holy cow, we are moving this weekend across the country and I went online to our current stake website to get some addresses.... but our records are already in MA. So much for that.

I hum or sing to him all the time, and he's mildly amused. Only rarely will he fall asleep to it...I'm sure I'm quite tone deaf hehe. Lately I've been lustily singing the words 'baby pie...baby pie...' over and over to the tune of the Indiana Jones theme song! (Yeah the preview for the new movie comes on alot lol.)

DS always calms down and smiles when I sing The Beatles "Help." I've tried other songs, but he really seems to like that one. I'm guessing it's the beat?

I have a few lullabye cd's that I play but most of the time I just make up my own little diddys

Most recent made up song is to a tune of my own and is just 4 lines long and I sing it over and over again. Hey, it keeps him quiet!......or maybe it's the bouncing that I do while singing that keeps him quiet
