TF Pregnancy Club: May Thread

That other thread is really long, so I thought I'd start a new one.

Come in, introduce yourself and all that fun stuff.

Ok, so this one is due sometime in January 09. Wow that seems far away. I don't know what else to put here. You guys know me already.

Oh, I have been wreaking havoc with nutritional information on the Jan09 due board. Go real food!

Ok, off to start a batch of ginger ale. I gotta quit buying the regular stuff, it has almost no redeeming qualities. And I gotta start eating more. Ugh, food is a lil repulsive atm to me.

Thank you for doing this. I'm 39 weeks and really, really anxious to have this little one. And uncomforable, and all those other fun things that go with being 39 weeks pregnant. That's about all I have right now.

Whoo hoo! Shorter thread!

So, the question I asked in the last thread... is there a benefit to taking fermented CLO over regular CLO?

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to pop in and say that my May baby has arrived Anika was born at 38 weeks 3 days. She weighed 7lbs 4oz and was 18.5" long. Smaller than my first baby. We had a home waterbirth with the midwife arriving 16 minutes before Anika - just in time to snap a few pictures for us The only other people present were my DH and 2.5yo DS. It was so perfect. All kinds of crazy details worked out for the best - we feel so blessed!

I think TF really helped me have a comfortable, healthy pregnancy. My first pregnancy was pretty good, but this was better. Have other mamas found the same thing when you compare your TF pregnancy/pregnancies to non-TF ones?

Congratulations!

I think the combination of eating TF and clearing my diet of allergens has made a huge difference in this pregnancy. I had a very difficult, unhealthy pregnancy with dd, and this one has been totally different. Very little morning sickness, almost no swelling, generally a pretty easy and unremarkable pregnancy. I also think it's part of the reason why I'm carrying this baby much later than I did dd. I'm really grateful that I found TF, I think my whole family is much healthier for it.

Hey we're rooting for you! My DD was a 42 weeker so when I hear of people going to 36 and that's it, I always wonder if those babies were early. It turns out though that the women on my mom's side of the family all carry long (44 for one cousin!) so I guess our babies take a long time to cook.

I hope you can put your feet up and make people around you serve you, since all ladies that are that pregnant deserve that. Last time around, I remember thinking how it would be nice to have a little cloud carry me places because moving was so complicated with a big belly.

Some info here. In short, it supposedly has more of that activator x, that's actually vitamin k2. I can't get myself to take regular CLO, how will I ever get myself to take fermented?

Congratulations! I love the idea of near unassisted labor and having someone there to catch. DH is scared to and I .. I dont know it seems I'm quite busy when actually laboring. We'll see this time around. I love the idea of two kids in the family bed though. Hee hee, can't wait!

I'm finding less morning sickness and not being as tired this time around. I think it's my iron - it was quite low last time around. And I'm not eating quite so much junky food. Actually, in some ways I am - had some sugar almost daily but I don't react to sugar. I took out gluten and corn and no more heart flutters for me!

I think the only way I'd get myself to take it would be in capsule form... I can't imagine swallowing a spoonful of it!

Hello Ladies- I am going to join you. My new lo is due in January also. I am nervous as I have had two m/cs but I think we have worked out the problems with a naturopath and diet. I need to go and make more bone broth for myself though since I moved to another country and can't get most of my supplements. Food will have to do. I would love to do homemade ginger ale but I have read in many places that ginger can cause m/cs and I am afraid to do it. The question is though how do I deal with morning sickness? I don't want to eat the processed white flour that is in most crackers.

We heard the heartbeat today so I am "officially" joining. I'm not keen on exposing the baby to ultrasound but this little one has had quite a bit already--we tried to hear the heartbeat Friday when we interviewed a midwife and she listened for several minutes but couldn't find it. Then today we interviewed another midwife and she had to listen for a while again but did find it. Hopefully I'll be able to stay away from ultrasound for the rest of the pregnancy and just wait until the baby is big enough for the fetascope to hear the heartbeat again. And I think I might have felt movement last night when I was lying awake after getting up to pee...one little flutter. Of course it's hard to tell at this point if it's really movement or just stomach activity.

Now if the morning sickness would just go away...it's actually been worse the last several days. All I want is junk food...I'd be perfectly happy to live on corn dogs, fish sticks, chex mix, pizza, KFC I'm not eating it but I'm not eating nearly as well as I should be. I've been kind of tired lately, too, but hopefully that will end soon as well.

I am new to mothering.com (and new to mothering in general, I am expecting my first child in December). I just stumbled upon this site the other day and have been lurking on the other boards. I decided I had to register and post after I found a whole board devoted to NT! I have been, very imperfectly, trying to incorporate NT into my and my husband's life for the past year.

Reading these posts has inspired me to finally plan on getting some canning jars to ferment vegetables at home. Oh yeah, and make the carrot cake and sloppy joes they were talking about on other posts :

Welcome to all the new arrivals!

I am 8 weeks along, due at the very end of December. This will be #4 for us. I am noticing that my morning sickness level seems to be related to my b-complex. If I forget my b-complex, the next day I don't feel very well. Otherwise my morning sickness seems to be bearable. I am gaining weight like crazy though (I always do).

oddly enough, i've not gained any weight and i'm only a few weeks behind you.

this time around though, my diet is lower carb than last time so that might be accounting for it.

when i was pregnant with dd i had huge yeast issues so in the second trimester i quit eating all bread and sugar and all sweet fruit in hopes of it helping. it didn't help much with the yeast but it made me slim down some while dd was still gaining. it was then originally that i ended up reading this board actually and got introduced to the concept of TF.

i hope to avoid the yeast beast this time around because my diet is significantly better.

Ok so who all that posted on my TTC thread last year had a baby or is pg?

Just curious!

And a small bump, even though I am NOT lurking in here.

*points* lurker! lurrrrrker!

Sorry about the lack of pregnancy list. I'm not organized enough to do it. If someone else wants to, go right ahead.

That's what I said last year and some cheap wine and opportunity changed all that.

Congratulations, caedmyn.

That's not a story you're going to tell to the child, are you?
