TF Pregnancy Club: May Thread - Page 3

Anybody have any advice for me about calcium, herbs & trimesters?

I also wanted to ask about kombucha during the first trimester. Before I got PG I was drinking about 16oz of kombucha daily and I continued for a few weeks before I knew. I have cut it back considerably to about 8oz daily or everyother day. Anyone else drinking kombucha still? Now I have a fridge full of kombucha and another batch almost ready to bottle, ack!!! I'm just gonna have to stick all my scobies in the fridge for a while:/

Ugggh guys I'm not doing so hot nausea wise. DH is being supportive, but all I want to be in my bedroom, on the cool bed, under the ceiling fan, in hopes of it making the nausea go away.

I don't want anyone near me, do't want to eat aything, don't want to change diapers, cook, smell food, nothing. I just want to shut off from the world until this horrible feeling passes.

This sucks. How soon until this passes again?

Serena - I'm sorry to hear how crappy you're feeling It totally sucks!! Just a couple of days ago I started feeling better and I thought maybe I was on the outside of the nausea, then yesterday was terrible all over again. My nausea has always gone away starting around the 12 week mark, maybe a little longer. I hope you get some relief soon. Hmmm, now that I'm writing this, I remember reading in one of the old pregnancy thread (maybe March?) about taking dandelion root and milk thistle? If you get a chance go back and check through it - gotta run!

I had ice cream for lunch and my belleh is happier. No one tell my mom.

(If she were still alive, I think she'd totally approve given my sorry state last night, hehe.)

Salt and vinegar chips (all natural of course ) and lemonade are two of my major weapons against the queasiness/hunger this pregnancy, more often than I would like to admit.

I also started a batch of sauerkraut last week, because I felt like I *had* to have it! I think there's something to the sour flavour that's getting me.

Speaking of sauerkraut, I use salt, celery seed, dill, and a pinch or caraway and I read somewhere to avoid celery seed. I can still eat the sauerkraut right? It's not like it's a lot in there.

I wouldn't worry about culinary uses of spices and herbs. There are too many other things to worry.

We had taco meat and corn chips for dinner. I'm supposedc to be staying away from corn but I just can't. GF is ok but corn free I'm sucking at! Feeling better today too, probably cause I ate more.

Yeah, what Serena said.

I think if you were using massive amounts of it, there might be a problem, but you're just using a little to season.

It's June, we should start a June TF thread!

But real quick- I'm allergic to dairy- should I not worry about it? I try to make sure I get enough calcium from other foods, herbs, and bone broth but I keep thinking about it.

Do we need to start a new one? This one's only a few pages... maybe we could change the title to the May/June thread.
