Did I just jinx myself....

DH's cousin is getting married on the 26th, my due date is the 30th but if the baby isn't here by the 28th I'm having a c-section.

I just talked to DH's aunt and told her we would try to be there. I really want to go, DH's family weddings are always a lot of fun and this one is not to be missed. It's one of those fancy weddings you read about so it will be neat, but I mostly want to go because I know it's going to be a blast. The cousin who is getting married is truly one of the nicest guys you would ever meet too and though this wedding will be over the top (600 people at a fancy hotel in downtown Chicago) his personality is the opposite the same with his fiance. They're doing this so everyone can have a good time.

So..now that I committed I know this LO is going to want to come early....or I'll go into labor as soon as we get there.....

That sounds like fun!! And if you do go into labor, hopefully it won't be 1-2 hours like some we've had around here lately!

Isn't the most likely way to go into labor is to plan something really fun? Either way, I think you will be happy.

I know! That is a concern because we'll be over an hour away from the hospital where I want to deliver at. I have to deliver where there is a level III NICU too, which thankfully isn't an issue in the Chicago area. If I feel I can't make it back to the suburbs we'll be ok. Obviously we have to be cautious, and we're not going to risk anything just to go to the wedding, but it's worth a shot if there aren't any labor signs.

Yes, and I think I'm one of the few left that is happy to wait until my due date! It's not because of the wedding either, I really want this LO to be as big as he can be before he's born. You're right, I'll be happy either way. I'll have my baby in my arms or enjoying a night out with my DH. As long as the baby isn't born in the car I'm good!

Hope baby waits for ya and you are able to go to the wedding.

I am going to a wedding today and didn't have anything to wear. I went shopping last night and ugh, I feel like a beached whale in this outfit I got.
