Prodromal labor fun

So let me just say all you mama's who worry about false alarms, even us that are on their fourth baby can do it too...

Last night I had what I am referring to as cluster contractions. Every two hours (on the minute) I would get literally rocked by hard and painful contractions that had me immediately awake and panting. They were long, strong and maybe a minute and a half apart. I would call for DH because it woke me from such a sound sleep and was so hard I was almost panicky. I couldn't move from the edge of the bed. After about 5-6 contrax...baby went back to sleep. Just jokin mom...g'night. : This occured about 6 times from 10pm til about 7am when I got up to make the now awake four year old oatmeal. Now that I am up, and very exhausted from a night of up and downs....nothing. A day of chasing around this little boy who's full of energy, and it's going to hit 98 degrees today. I hope I get some better sleep tonight-or a baby would be nice although I'm still doubting it, it's a little too early. Plus the mw are out of town til Monday.

Anyone else getting their sleep jacked with for fun? I just hope it means less intensity when the real deal hits.

While mine don't wake me from my sleep, I've had lots of prodromal labor with this one and the last one - and none with the first 3. Talk about feeling silly when I have to tell the hubby "nevermind..." (Mine is 10 days over so it really coud be "any time.")

Oh yeah, not sleeping is becoming my norm. I'll get more sleep nursing twins. Last night I got stomach ache thrown in on top.

or the 5th! I'm starting my second week of this, really, I've had enough and I'm ready for him. And the really strong contractions seem to be at night, right?! Whats with that ?!

I'm really really hoping for tonight. Seriously. Unfortunatly I found with my last two that prodromal labor makes the actual active labor shorter & intense. I am trying to get over my fear and just accept that I probably won't have a lot of time to process that he is coming before he is here (that was an issue for me last time, it was whirlwind!)

Oh yeah, I seem to always get my "false starts" in the night. Argh! Which equals not much sleep and highly energetic kids during the day. : Thankfully Dh is off on weekends and takes over so I can sleep. I've had it happen the last two Saturdays. Hoping to have it happen today and stick around and be fruitful. *fingers crossed*
