New here - from Seattle

Hi everyone,
Just want to introduce myself. My name is Mary, I'm a single mother of a 20 month old daughter - Mia. We live in Seattle.
My sister gave me a subscription to Mothering Magazine when I was pregnant and it was one of the best mother-related gifts I've received. How great to find a publication that addresses the issues most important to me with an angle that I can relate to, respect and agree with.

Hi Mary! What a blessing it is to little Mia to have an aware and awake mommy like you. Bet she is the apple of your eye. Welcome to both of you! Seattle is a great city to be a free thinking parent in as folks are pretty open to "alternatives". I live about an hour out (Gold Bar) but it sure is fun to come into the city and play!
