Learning about Nature's essentials

Hi, I'm new here and I wanted to know where some people are learning about all these organic/raw/healthy facts that you can use for your health, cleaning and etc. I'm still learning termonlogy being used here like bs is baking soda and i think eo is extra virgin olive oil, but don't know them all yet, so if anyone wants to list some of the more common ones used here that would be amazing

I've been reading that honey is very beneficial for the skin, hair and does alot of good internally and apple cider vinegar is apperently good for hair and some skin irritations, but I want to learn so much more.

Anyway, I am very interested in learning more about using nature's best products for everyday and with the internet as massive as it is, it's informative but is also very overwhelming. Any books out there that would be good to read? I would like to start a new career in holistic healthcare too using natural or comepletly organic products but not sure where to begin. Should I look into being a midwife or herbologist or chinese medicine to learn why certain plants and foods work well. Don't get me wrong, modern medicine is good for some people, but I want to learn how we use to do things before all the extra chemicals were involved.

Thanks so much for your help

I'm pretty new as well...
eo (as far as I know!) is essential oil(s)
A good place to start (for me, anyways) was the book Raising Baby Green by Dr. Alan Greene. It gives you a lot of ideas of what is good or not, etc. I also just spend a ton (WAY too much) time reading online...and I pick stuff up every day. I know it's a lot, especially if you're new to it...but don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Just take in what you can handle, and make small changes. If you do everything all at once, you'll be overwhelmed and are likely to just STOP. If you make small changes, and make them part of your lifestyle, they're more likely to stick, and you can keep adding on!!
