How often do you take pictures of your kids? - Page 3

I take pictures constantly. My camera is always in my purse so I almost always have right there. My problem is that my pics are all on my computer but I rarely print anything out, so I don't have all these pictures up where anyone can see them.

DH and I love to take pictures of the kids, DSD is a prof. photographer and we also have some nice sets of professional pictures per year in her studio or simply at home doing random stuff and being kids. We take around 200 pics of DS a month and 300 of the other 3, DS doesn't like pictures as the other three.

I try to bring my camera with me most places so that I can snap a picture if I want to, but I don't take tons of photos -- I take a few pictures maybe several days per month.

I got so turned off of picture-taking early in my DS's life because my ILs constantly took pictures of him, to the point that it seemed like they'd rather get the perfect photo than actually interact with him or have real-life experiences with him -- it drove me crazy, and made me take the opposite attitude towards picture-taking.

I went Camera Crazy and somehow managed to take over 60 pics in 8 days last week.

In general, I have the camera with us pretty much all the time. Right now, we don't tend to go out to much. But when we move to Arizona this summer I'm planning on getting a small digital cam to fit in the diaper bag so it's with us all the time. Our family is spread pretty much all over the world so it's real important to be able to document as much of his life as possible.

Professional picture: Quarterly

Snap Shots: As often as we remember and as often as we can. Camera phone and Digital Camera. We keep an older Digital in the diaper bag and have fairly HQ Digital Camera for times when we want a better picture.

We also invested in a portable printer that prints 4x6 and 5x7. We use SAMS for some prints and watch for coupons to print really cheap. Snapfish give great prices, and really great ones for prepaying. But we don't do much printing unless we have pictures we just love.

My DW and MMIL are very picture orientated and so was my mother. I majored in Art with a emphasis on Digital Art, so we may be a bit Camera Crazy.
