I've never posted photos before and I'm new to snapfish, here goes...

This is what the end product looks like laid out on the floor.

I'm going to lay the project out in steps, using separate posts so that you don' t get one hugemungous post. There are 7 steps.

Step 1:

Select two socks. I used my Smartwool socks that had worn out heels and soles.

Step 2:

Cut down the foot until you hit the heel.

Finished project!

Tie it behind your head, it's nice and stretchy because of the knit fabric!

You can wear the headband wide like this...

I usually wear it folded over like this...

This is a different project. I made my old purse look a little more unique with a green t-shirt from goodwill...

I just cut out a piece of t-shirt pinned it to the front of my purse and hand sewed it to the purse. You don't have to worry about the ends fraying because t-shirts are made with knit fabric and just roll over, they don't fall apart!

Such great little projects/ideas...I love them, thanks for sharing!!

those are waaaaaaayyyyy cute.......sadly none of my socks are that nice looking.......mine are all plain boring ones....lol.
Although maybe if I took the boring ones, shredded them into one inch strips and then braided them together (maybe even using multiple colors), then purhaps they would look somewhat special...lol
Of course the fact that my hair is only an inch or two long....kind of makes all of that a waist of my time...hehe. Although I do have a dd with long hair....maybe I will make some for her.
I would make them for gifts for my family if it would not gross them out....lol. I bet my mom would dig on them...lol.

But unless I find myself with a lot of time, then I will probably just stick to my method of reusing......

Thanks for the idea though!
