My favorite is from Cookie A's
Baudelaire - it's a toe-up heel that starts with the gusset, has a rounded heel (think the first half of a short-row heel) where you work all the stitches in one fell swoop and then a short-row heel flap (I usually do a twisted rib). I've done this twice now and it looks almost identical to a top-dow heel flap heel, but with none of that messy picking up stitches that I can't stand. It is also really easy for me to adjust it to accomodate my high instep.

From my understanding, it's not too different from Wendy's toe-up gusset heel, but I think Cookie's is way better looking.
