McCall's baby carrier pattern

I was scoping out the new patterns at the major pattern companies and found this. I don't have any babies, and I've never used any sort of carrier before, so for the mamas that know, does it look like a good carrier? I kinda want to snap it up before it goes out of print if it's worth it.

That's a pouch and a mei tai! You can find instructions and tutorials for making each of those for nothing on the internet. If you look in the Babywearing forum here you'll find links to patterns for sewing your own.

Both are popular carriers and would make great gifts although I feel that pouches i particular are better 'made to measure'.

Cool. I think I'll go ahead and pick up the pattern when it goes on sale. The fabric store regularly puts them on sale for 1 or 2 bucks, and then I won't have to spend the time measuring and drawing out the pattern pieces from a tutorial.

Cool. My local fabric store is having a sale this weekend with McCall's for .99 cents each. Maybe I'll pick one up.

I just bought and cut out this carrier and sling for baby shower gift. I got the pattern on sale for .99
I like some of the other sling on the internet and will be sewing some of them up also.

Sure wish they had these 40 yrs ago.
