Well, one of mine was that I was actually going to run a 1/2 marathon. And just wanted to let you know that I DID IT!!! Not as fast as I'd wanted, but fast enough. 13.1 flippin miles I ran. I AM A GODDESS!

Now I'm just on to the universe providing abundant financial resources for our family.

Nearly six months on, how are the rest of you doing?

WHEEE! CONGRATULATIONS! Now rest those pins, mama! Take a couple days off!

OK, I can't resist: Time?

My resolutions: Well, the Evil 3 Pounds is now the Evil 2 Pounds, and the amount of effort involved has made me think I should wise up and buy bigger clothes until dd goes off to kindergarten and I'm walking/running 4 mi/day getting her there and back. I'm trying and sometimes succeeding in being gentler with dd. I think that was all the resolutions I made....

At least I beat the marathoner. it was a 1/2 and a full marathon run at the same time. I REALLY wanted to be under 2 hours. But considering that I'd never run before 8 months ago, I'll take it - and take off those 12 minutes on my next one!

It was good for me to see that I can set a goal, work more or less steadily toward it, and actually see it through.

YAY! That's huge. I can honestly say that I don't think I've run more than a mile since HS. I'm sure that when you were done that was a awesome feeling. YAY MAMA! YOU DID IT!

Way to go!

I'm a new runner too, just about a year now. I ran my first 1/2 at the beginning of April (2:20 with stomach issues) and loved it...ran my second two weeks ago (2:06)! Now I'm thinking ahead to breaking 2 hours, probably this fall...it's triathlon season now!

I look back over the past year, and one of the few bright sides of the crap that I've gone through is that I feel like I've found who I was meant to be and how to set a good example of living an active healthy lifestyle for my son. Triathlons and half-marathons are something that I never thought I would do, and probably not something I would have done if STBX was still around!

Yay for being healthy!
