Need some info on extruded grains

Thread Starter
Dh eats cornflakes for breakfast, and has now introduced them to DS -- who of course, asks for them all the time. : I told DH that extruded grains have lost all their nutrition, but he doesn't believe me. He says "I grew up eating cornflakes and I'm fine."

I know the WAPF website talks about extruded grains, but is there any other info/research out there? I tried googling the term, but didn't come up with anything. I need some "proof" that extruded grains are bad for us.

there are some studies sally fallon cites in nourishing traditions, if you can get your hands on a copy and look up extrusion in the index i think you'll be pointed in the right direction. she talks about it actually being toxic for us (probably not the *most* toxic thing out there, imo, but reading about it was definitely enough to get me soaking oats for a tf granola, b/c i love cereal as a snack!! let me know if you want the recipe -- it's from EFLF).
