Bummed out about sex

Well Dh and I tryed to have sex last night. It was the first time we had since I lost the mucous plug. i started bleeding again. but it stopped afterwards. we called the birthing center. nurse on duty told me it was probably the vessels in there. Since the pressure of his head is pushing them out. sucks no more sex untill postpartum cause it keeps tearing my veins. so dont get that to help things along. if I just carry to my date thats two months without sex!! really kind of depressing.

i feel you! we haven't been able to have sex in ages! everything was just SOOO swollen and uncomfortable... it freaked dh out so much when i started bleeding that he didn't want to try it anymore

frankly, i would LOVE to have sex!! i would love to do anything that will help this baby out!!

I think we've DTD twice sine I've been pg The HG was too bad at first and I had a couple of good months there, then totally lost the urge.

I had been fine up untill thursday night. and my drive is still there so its really gonna suck. hopefully this baby comes sooner rather than later and I heal quickly lol. and it bums me out to loose that help along for labor. and to just be close to dh

When I had my previa I couldn't have sex for 8 weeks (was sick for most of the time before that) and then when I found out all was well, I just was getting a lot bigger and uncomfortable. Haven't had too much sex this pregnancy.

I have never found sex to be all that much of a labor inducer. EPO can have the same effect, and, from what I've heard, so can oral sex (swallowing semen). Another help can be smelling some article of clothing that your dh has worn quite a bit. Smelling his scent during the day can also release ocytocin.

I guess I'm not understanding why no sex Cat? Just because some of the itty bitty veins can spring leaks, doesn't necessarily mean no nookie. At least thats my understanding. If I were you and I wanted to DtD, than I would.

i will see what my doctor has to say today and such.... and i am thinking if we used some lube it may not break them anyways... but who knows if I can even get dh to do it ...

Yeah, we dtd for the first time in months about a week ago. DH just doesn't have a huge drive to begin with and I've been tired and reflux-y at night, so we haven't done much. Tried again Saturday night and it was an absolute failure. WAY too much swelling. I think we're done until postpartum at this point.

Im thinking about asking Hubbie to make a deposit in my keeper/menstral cup and putting it in for the night :P

We have been a lot more intimate lately and at the same time - I should give him a break :P
