Stomach pains after childbirth (not afterpains)?

Is anyone else having a lot of bowel and esophageal pain? I've had this for the last two days now. I didn't have it right after birth or for several days, but since yesterday it's this obnoxious pain like there are gas bubbles in there, but no gas coming out. What could cause this? I thought maybe at first it was because I was in bed a lot hunched over nursing (not a good position I know but I just found myself slumping a lot). It seems to hurt more when I move around, but sometimes not. It doesn't *feel* like muscle pain, but I mean I guess it could be. It's not tender to the touch or anything though. I guess I'm just finding this a bit confusing and want some relief.

I remember after my first I had similar pains, it ended up being very bad gas (and needing to poo).. Have you btdt?

I think that's what has me all confused. I'm pooping no problem. I've had many bowel movements with ease and no constipation. You'd think if it was gas and all that it would be affecting my movements too. What stinks is that on the list of things to "watch out for post partum" it says "abdominal pain". Well what the heck does that mean? Lower, upper, etc. Maybe I'll just call my midwife tomorrow. *sigh* The woman is going to think I'm a hypochondriac I feel like I call her so often.

It never hurts to call. My guess is your insides are still adjusting and moving around to a comfy place. They've been out of place, and had nine months to move around to where they where still functional and supportive of baby. Then wooshy, baby gone, guts all over. But Im no doc...and if it's on the list, give her a ring...that's what mw are there for. Better to feel like a hypochondriac than wait too long in making a call for something important. It could just be some silly thing too-like posture as you said or maybe something your eating throwing you off, and mw may be able to pin it real quick. I'm sure she's encounterd it before

Hope you feel better soon mama...it sucks when there's extra stuff going on, like birth isn't hard enough to heal from already lol

I feel all sorts of weird pains, esp. in my lower abdomen. I think it is all my organs tightening back up.
