my LO is nursing and he makes these oooh and ahhh sounds and sounds of contentment. It's also a sound that lets me know I trust you mom whole heartedly. It is amazing it is a sound that tells me only I can give him what he truly needs. He also rest his hand on my breast while he is nursing, I fall in love all over again

I love the little smile with the nipple still in her mouth Sure, they're just sleep smiles when she dozes at the boob, but they're so adorable.

Even better is when the milk dribbles out of thier mouth when they are smiling and dozing in their little milk induced coma, LOL

When they get a little older... the very *best* is when they really want to nurse, and you finally get a chance to latch them on, and they suck suck suck and get that first mouthful of milk, and as they swallow, their eyes roll back in their head, their body relaxes, and it's like they just got a hit of heroin or something. ;-)

Right now, my LO makes noises like he badly needs oiling when he's nursing. Not so besty really. Kinda funny though. IIRC, DS1 didn't make much noise at all when nursing... I had lots of trouble even being able to tell when he was swallowing (finally was able to hear the tiny catch as he held his breath to swallow, but it took a LOT of listening).

When Klaus started "petting" me when we were nursing, my PPD started going away. I love the little sighs and how milk makes everything better. He toots and honks when he nurses too, he's very loud. I like it.

the smiley time and the "pre-laugh". spencer can't quite laugh yet, but he smiles and takes a big breath and whooshes it out. so cute. my FAVORITE though is when he stretches out as log as possible, raises both arms over his head, and sticks out his index fingersb like he is saying "i'm #1!"

Mine does this too! I either call him Rusty Hinge, or if I'm with people, I'll jokingly ask for some WD-40!
We NIP'ed for the first time a little over a week ago, in the waiting area at the ped's office. I had no idea how noisy a nurser he was till then. Sighing, smacking, farting...lol. It was all I could do to keep a straight face while old men stared off at the walls uncomfortably...

at the noise! yes... this little one is a grunting groaning machine on the breast

oh! @ the hand

oh, OH!! @ the smiles around the nipple

the other day he did this little laugh, like a happy bleating sound in the middle of nursing, nipple in mouth. i melted into a puddle of drool on my chair.

I can't help but LOL when he's really hungry and is sooo anxious to get on the boob and he's rooting around like a maniac, his head bobbing all over the place and then he does a big grunt and latches on
He's so freakin edible!!!
He also does this thing me and DH have taken to calling "tonguing it up" which probably sounds kinda pornographic in a way but it's when he's just comfort nursing and he just starts licking around and playing with my nipple, it's really funny

I know exactly what you are talking about, when my LO is anxious it is sooooooooo cute even when the nipple gets in his mouth he is so excited he doesn't even realize it and when he does he sucks so hard !!!!!

I love the "dive bomb" latch: When they're so excited they start rooting a little, and everytime something brushes across the cheek they get this surprised look and "dive bomb" it to get latched, usually resulting on baby banging her face on my collarbone. aww...

my LO is the same way with the tongue and he looks up at me adoringly which makes me melt!
