Yeah, we had to stop the kitties from sleeping in the bassinet. I figure at least with the changing table, I'm always there to brush kitties off if need be.

That is the exact same reason why I have not put together the swing or the Amby! LOL

Aren't they?

That's how they'll stay, all day long, until daddy gets home. Then they'll meow incessantly at him until he feeds them and then snuggle with us for dinnertime. Well, Bo's (orange guy) version of snuggling means crawling all over you, licking every inch of exposed skin until you throw him off of you and Vinny's (black) involves snuggling until something nobody else sees or hears spooks her and then she's gone, leaving no trail except a sprinkling of black fur on your dinner.

Don't you love cat personalities??

I have Desiree, who is my 7? yr old tabby/calico girl. She is petite and skittish and only likes me, but will tolerate the kids. She is easy to spook and quick to hide. If she is hungry she will sing you a full song and has a voice much like Macy Grey.

Then I have 4 yr old Jacob, the perpetual kitten. He is an orange tiger w/ a white belly and a very solid boy. He loves everyone and everything and loves to cuddle, play, cuddle, and cuddle some more. He's not a bright cat AT ALL, although DH thinks he is plotting to kill him (he already tossed DH down the stairs). He is a chirper and if you talk to him he will mew-purr a question back you you.

Sabin, the recent runaway-returnee is a 1 yr old striped long haired maine coon mix and is a big boy. He is a licker, big time. He is the most "cat-ish" of the three, as in he will only seek out love when he wants you to love him. If he did not ask to be snuggled, he will let you know. He's a big talker when he is in the mood and is so funny because he can jump over the baby gate from downstairs to upstairs, but not upstairs to downstairs, yet he has to practically dislocate his hips to fit through the bars. Its a funny sight to see.

We also have two doggies, but it is the cats who rule the roost.

When we installed the co-sleeper before Isaac was born, our 70-some-odd pound chocolate labrador retriever kept trying to climb into it. We had to just say no.

Oh my goodness, that is quite the visual. Our Golden Retriever is close to the same size and I cannot even imagine her big butt being able to get up on my bed, yet alone on a co-sleeper!

I just remembered a picture of Jacob in Matthew's bouncer when I was pregnant with Matthew. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2414/...cdb9b59a_o.jpg

I just KNEW there would be a cat in that picture before I even opened it! I have the same problem with our changing pad that is on the bathroom counter! I use it for 19 mo old dd and frequently have to gently evict a cat!
