Ugh, how did you not THROW UP!?!? You're the queen of vomit (sorry you are!) and you manage to get down 3 whole pineapples. You're REALLY wanting him out, huh?

a little soda with it and sipping.

ohhhh does my tummy hurt.

really. I really do want him out. now. (fortunately pineapple isn't an offensive flavor and juice is relatively OK presently)

Holy cannoli, Christine!! If he doesn't come out with that, I have no idea what you should do.

dagnabit! nap attack hit again. except this time he's so far down I'm back to hardly being able to pee and the contractions kept up all night (waking me pretty often). well, here's hoping they pick back up today. at least it's still stormy out!

Crossing my fingers Christine!! You have certainly endured this long enough!

Christine!

I'm gonna guess that once things do get going, that baby is gonna rocket out and you're gonna get those super fast labor vibes you wanted

Wait... is this an induction method I've never heard of?

the pineapple contains bromelain which can help bring on labor by weakening the sac membranes. at least best i can tell by studying it up.

apparently, it takes more than that to do it.

Thank you all!

I was wondering what had been happening the last few days since I hadn't seen an update!

I thought vitamin C strengthened the amniotic sac?? But the bromelain in the pineapple counters that? THREE pineapples?? Holy cow! I like pineapple, but good grief!!

Have you been able to find a care provider of any sort yet?

Hang in there!! You've been through so much already. I hope this little one makes his way out SOON!!

It's supposed to ripen the cervix too, isn't it? (that's what I thought the bromelain helped with too?) Either way, I ate an entire pineapple recently so hoping it helps me too. Although I think you topped me on the amount so hoping it definitely speeds things up for you! And at least it didn't make your mouth raw! LOL

(BTW- I hear you on the STUPID STUPID nap thing, once again Ctx were strong and regular for an hour until I sat down to nurse DD and crashed for about 15 min, now they're just dinking around )

yoiu know, I thought I *had*, but so far her nurse hasn't called back to set up an appointment. At this point, since BP is back down (thanks to Mama Calm and Brewer's) I'm not inclined to call and set up that cascade of interventions.

1babysmom, thats' where the juicing is helpful. way less mouth blisters.

DH's new theory on the nap-attacking is maybe that means baby will just sleep a lot and be easy going. (like what else can you DO when you fall asleep every time labor gets going? cry? you can only cry so much. )

Hmmm, pineapple.

I ate a whole bunch of parsley the other day. I figured with such a high vitamin K content it certainly couldn't hurt. No results though - but it really hit the spot , maybe try that.

It almost seems like the more I try, the further away from labour I get - and I'm not willing to try any "real" natural induction methods yet (well, other than sex, but that's more because I can't get enough . . . it's not working, but it doesn't hurt like it did with dd2 (when it did work), so I'll enjoy while I can)
