Hudson Rhoan's Birth Story

I'll make this quick!

On May 16th my mom and I were gardening and working outside when I started to get little teeny cx that were slightly different from BH's. I knew something was different but I really didn't think anything of it. Later on around 6pm that day they started to get a little stronger and longer and I kinda figured that maybe something was starting up. I went to the bathroom and checked myself. I was anterior instead of being posterior earlier in the day and I also had some show.
Around 7pm DH got home and we ate dinner. I had to stop walking when I had a cx at his point because my back hurt. They were about 7-10mins apart.
At 9pm Dh and I went for a walk and got back at 10pm- cx's were still 7-8mins apart and were really annoying but not really hurting too much. At this point I knew baby was in a strange position. I was getting lots of movements in the front.

So at 11pm I went to bed hoping either labor would go away or kick into high gear. The cx started to get more intense when I layed down and by the time 12am hit I asked Dh to call for my doula. Right after he got off the phone I started puking- we called the MW right away because I knew I would progress fast after vomiting. At 1am the MW arrived and at 110am my doula arrived. I was definately having back labor the entire time- it was excrutiating! My MW checked me shortly after arriving- I was 9cm. I went to stand up to move to the toilet and my water burst. Once I was on the toilet I felt him move down my canal....crazy feeling!!! And then I hustled into the tub after the water was ready a few mins later. After the 1st cx in the tub I felt his head with my hand and freaked out because something didn't feel right. My MW checked and said he was presenting with his face. His head was totally out with the next cx and I caressed his soft head for the few mins between cx's! It was amazing! With the next push he was out and on my tummy at 129am. His poor little face was very purple and swollen but he was perfect!!!

I had the homebirth I was dreaming of and everyone around me was awesome! The recovery has been great- no tearing, hardly any swelling, nursing has been fabulous this time around- baby has no jaundice or problems of any kind. We are all so thankful it went so well. I can't wait for next homebirth!!!

Anyway, thank you for all the support the last 9 months! It has been an awesome journey!
Pics will come once I get the CD from my doula!

Wow, so would that qualify as a brow presentation?!?! That is awesome that the birth went so well with the difficult positioning!

My biggest fear has been a difficult presentation, and your birth story really helped calm me.

Congratulations!
