What do you think?

I have a baby shower for twins to go to.I made lightweight baby blankets. One side is flannel the other side cotton(nothing in between).I top stitched the edges but I'm wondering if should quilt the blankets too. What do you think. Here's what they look like if that makes a difference.

Also what do you think of this matching teether?Too boring?I'm going to add velcro on the end so that it can be looped on to...whatever.

Thanks for any help!

I like the teether!

as far as quilting, I don't know the answer for you, sorry

I love the teether! Where did you find the wooden ring? I wouldn't quilt the blankies, if you have already topstitched them they will probably bunch and get wonky at the edges. I think they look great! Plus flannel is usually sticky so it should stick nicely to cotton side.

Thanks for the quilting advice(and for the complement!).That's basically what I was wondering.

I got the wood ring from Casey's Wood.I really like their stuff.I ran a co op a few months back.I'm thinking about trying another one.

They look cute! I agree that you don't need to quilt it.

Hmmmmm. Nope I wouldn't quilt them, either. If they were heavier, maybe, but especially since they're already topstiched, no.

They really are darling.

That's what I was thinking(them being thin - I've always quilted heavier blankets) but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being a slacker.

My thoughts exactly! But if you wanted to add something yarn ties would be cute and fun for the babies to play with as they grow.

That fabric is fabulous! They are probably pretty small, right? I'd agree that they don't need to be quilted because of that. If they seem shifty though, you could just tie them. My SIL made me several tied quilts (crib size). You just pull through embroidery floss through all the layers at regular intervals, knot it, and snip it short. They've never come undone, and my oldest is almost 6!

The teether is a great idea. Yet another use for Casey's Wood! Love their stuff!

Yes,they are small.Pretty standard baby size. Thanks for letting me know that the embroidery floss has held up.I might give it a try and see how I like it.

It's funny because I had no idea what I was going to do with those wood rings when we did the co op.But as soon as I found out my friend was having twins,I knew they would be perfect teethers.
