Has anyone else still been bleeding at their 6 week checkup? Thanks to having a fever the past couple days and pain when she was checking to see everything is where it should be I get antibiotics and an ultrasound on Tuesday. Bad thing is I am most worried this will delay my IUD being inserted.

I'm still spotting, but the doctor said it was normal and due to breastfeeding.

with my first pregnancy, I was still bleeding at 6 weeks postpartum. This time around, I was done at 2 weeks! Yahoo, I'll give credit to a fabulous homebirth and gallons of RRL tea.

I bled until at least 2 months pp with dd so bleeding this long isn't out there for me. Running a fever and having a sore abdomen when pushed on is a cause for concern at this point though. Since I was laying in bed next to dh with a pile of blankets on me shaking this morning in 75-78 degree weather and my stomach hurts worse every time one of the boys nurses I'm guessing something is wrong and the antibiotics weren't an overkill call.

With my first I bled for 11 weeks! I don't think I was resting enough. Agree with the above posters though-a sore abdomen isn't good-especially with a fever. Sounds like an infection. I hope you feel better soon.
