He made his arrival on May 16 at 6:38 p.m., weighing in at 9 lbs 6 oz!
I ended up with a c/s because almost 48 hours after my water broke, I started to run a high temp, and they were seeing late decels on the internal monitor. (I had only been in active labor for about 4 hours-- it wasn't a 48 hour labor!) That was the point where my midwife, dh and I decided the best thing to do was to go ahead with the c/s.
We had a few bumps in the road due to jaudice (Coombs reaction due to our blood types) and a hostile pediatrician, but now we're home and he's doing beautifully. He's nursing like -- we'll let's say I call him the human shop vac
I'm going to be on babymoon for a while, but I'm sending you all ELVs and good wishes for healthy babies!
