What "green" or "organic" companies are SAFE? - Page 2

One of the PP mentioned Nature's Gate and I just wanted to note that, while I really like their products, make sure you check the label because a lot of their products are still using parabens (sp?) if that's something you're concerned about. The last time I saw, they were starting to move toward paraben-free, but I've no idea if they've done that with their entire line, or not.

Yes. And also Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

Probably why they work so well

Just thought I'd share the sunscreen we are currently using:

http://www.mexitan.com/

you can view all their ingredients online, and they have super fast shipping as well as email responses.

We've been pleased with it.

Peace and Blessings.

Hey this company looks pretty good. I just checked out their website. Thanks for sharing!!! I think I'll order something soon I like how they specifically said no nanoparticles. It seems like that is something of growing concern to consumers. I don't know too much about it though

alysmommy2004- I hear you about GF food. I tried a GF granola bar- yuck!!! What a waste of money I still have yet to find something I love. I do make a coconut "bread" that is like a treat, tastes like a macaroon

It's the drop buiscut recipe but they didn't turn out so I put the batter in a bread pan.

Carob coconut fudge is awsome too!!

Question about the mexitan- I saw it had green tea in it. Does it leave a green tint on the skin? I used a green tea sunscreen on my ds last year, Aubrey I think, and he was tinted green the whole time we were at the beach. He looked like a little alien baby! On the plus side, it was SUPER waterproof and he never got a tan much less a burn. Also I suppose that's a good sign that it wasn't created using nanotechnology because I believe that is what makes sunscreens invisible. I saw the Lavera sunscreen advertised- no nano. I may try that. I have their mascara. I don't wear it very often but when I do I am happy to know that it isn't harmful to me.

No alien babies, the sunscreen is actually white, but I haven't had a problem getting it rubbed in well enough.

Peace and Blessings.

It's great - I use the jojoba line, and it works just like my mainstream ones used to.
Hmm... Nature's Gate destroyed my hair after only a few days, it got dry and brittle, it was awful. The crazy thing is that right now my hair keeps getting greasy immediatley after washing it. I don't know if I have the jojoba one or not, I think it's packed in a box.

Thanks, I might try that sometime! I love baking, but I'm so nervous to bake GF. So far I only tried a loaf of bread and it was awful. I just hate to spend the money on something that might not turn out and have it get wasted (I hate throwing food away!).
