spring lyre for a toddler?

I read about a child's lyre, a musical instrument like a harp from a Waldorf parenting book. But I don't really know anything about it.
Three sisters toys have a spring lyre with 7 strings. Is it easy to play? Does it work like a guitar? What kind of tune/song can I play? Do your toddlers like it? Do older children play it? Is it worth having it? Thanks.

i don't know but someone over on the waldorf board might. they look more harp like than guitar like to me.
