There's tons of great information out there on this topic. I learned about 10 years ago through experience how much my digestion is improved when I focused on chewing my food thoroughly. As it states in this article (and I also believe) that smaller food particles=greater surface area, hence more utilization of nutrients, also just alot easier on the digestive tract. Some say (and I agree) that its the most delicate system in the entire body and proper care of this system leads to overall improved health.
