DS2, 15 months, was ill over the weekend and I had to ring the out of hours doctor a few times. You ring a number and get an operator who asks a few questions then transfers you to a nurse, then if the problem is severe enough they get a doctor to phone you back.
ds had been vomiting every meal, but was thankfully keeping breastmilk down. I mentioned this to the nurse and she said "What, you're STILL breastfeeding him?" I said "uh...yeah.." so she said "but, doesn't he have TEETH?!?!?" So I said well yes he does, but it really isn't a problem.
She said "But how do you DO that?"
as if it was completely uncomprehendable that it was even physically possible to nurse a child with teeth. LOL.
I know it's rare for them to see anyone nursing at this age, I think the stats for the UK are 2% still breastfeeding at 6 months, so I expect I am a real rarity.
