I woke up around 6am Wed with some contractions and laughed them off.....until they kept waking me.
We made it to the hospital by 9am because by that time, they were coming between 3 and 5 minutes apart.....some even riding right on top of each other.
I crawled into the tub as soon as it filled and the midwife broke my water because her head was at -1 station and she was ready to come. In the next 5 contractions, my daughter Olivia was born into the water and into the world.
She weighed 9lbs, 11.6oz and is 22 inches long. Labor was intense (4 hours and 45 minutes total from the start to finish) but she left me with no tears!
I will "flesh out" my birth story more later, but we're home now, doing well and enjoying our time together.
