Talk to me about bloody show

Last night I had lots of menstrualish cramps and one strange tingly contraction
(started in the back and tingled its way up to the front... very odd...). In the middle of the night I got up with my 2 year old, and as I was laying on his bed with him, I felt the baby distinctly move down. This morning, I go to wipe and there's little bits of blood on the tp. The blood doesn't look old or anything, and there wasn't any mucous... is this the start of bloody show?

I really don't remember what it was like the first time... silly me. My lower abdomen just feels *odd* today, as it did last night. I know it doesn't mean anything quite yet, but I'd love your thoughts! Thank you!

With dd1 and dd2 I didn't have any kind of blood or mucus or anything. With ds I remember the morning of the day he was born when I wiped there was something on the tp. I think I remember it being more pinkish not bright at all and not very much.

i had cramps all night then in the morning a little bit of blood tinged mucous fell into the toilet. I start contractions soon after and gave birth later that evening. i lost the bulk of the plug in actual labor though.

It's so hard to say...but I hope it means that things will be happening for you soon!!!

Thank you everyone! Nothing else is happening at the moment, but I just feel achy around my lower abdomen right now. A little more pink blood when I wiped about an hour ago, so I'm just going with the flow at this point. I've definitely got some really, really thick discharge, but it's all yellowy clear. We'll see. I still have a backache that started last night around 10:30.

I really wish this were more predictable! I am entirely too impatient for this!

Sounds like bloody show to me. The mucus plug can certainly come out in very small bits as just general increase in mucus. I've had two kids and never saw a mucus plug or had bloody show!

That is exactly how labor started for me! I was holding babies less than 8 hours later!
