Kill me now.

Seriously, though, I'm going apesh!t. I will stab the next person who tells me that I'm "late," asks me if I'm ok when I'm just going to the damn bathroom, or says that they didn't expect to see me still pregnant. And the next old lady who asks me "aren't you going to DO something about it?" will get a yad through her skull. I AM doing something about it! I'm gestating here!! I don't care if it's Shabbat, violence will be done, and I will feel GOOD about it.

And I'm not LATE, damnit!

I'm going crazy, I swear. :

I like to check in and see how our pregnant ladies are doing . I was due at the end of the month with dd1, so I know your impatience! Although I had her at 40w1d so didn't have to deal with the longer gestation period some of you are suffering through!

All I can do is sit in bed and make trips to the bathroom to throw up, which gives me no relief. There's always more stomach acid to come up and burn my throat. I've been awake since 11am Sunday, and I'm MISERABLE.

Baby, I need you out now. This is so not funny.
Sara, no mention of this in a while ... how are you feeling? The slippery elm tincture I'm using to help Sophie's reflux can also be used for adults. My homeopath said she's had great success treating reflux in adults with it. And I'm guessing since it's safe to give to an infant, it's also safe to take while pg. Just wanted to mention it. I hope you're feeling better .

Ah yes, I have been following your travails, and your patience has been duly noted (although I'm sure it is wearing very, very thin!).

Yesterday I was bemoaning the fact that there is no pause button on life, and that I would dearly love to have just 4 hours where I was not beholden to one child or another. Wanna come be my pause button? If you can't get my life to stand still, at the very least you could hold the baby for a while .

If one more person tells me to go take a walk, so I will get this baby out, I am going to scream!

This prodromal labor, is NOT real labor, and she is not just waiting for me to run a marathon to come out.

I am about to stop answering my phone, this is getting ridiculous!

Worse, Heather, I was at a hardware store picking out a garbage basket for our new bathroom, and the guy who was helping me (I think he knows dh, but I'm not sure that matters) asked me how far along I was. I told him I was due Wednesday and he said something like "Let's see if we can stimulate you and get you to have the baby right here tonight", while making a motion as if to pump a tire. It didn't seem like a sexual comment, but at the same time, it didn't make me feel too great.

Thanks, Angela. I have noticed quite a decrease in movement, and I assumed that was because the baby was getting bigger.

Uhhhh, wow, what did he mean by that??? Yikes, I would be uncomfortable too, even if it was purely an innocent comment.

I am feeling a lot less movement myself too, she has about three periods a day where she is really active, but for the most part she is pretty calm now. She's been my most active baby up to this last month, so I don't know what to think (DS2 was almost comatose the last month, so she is still a lot more active than him).

Oh and Sara, out of curiosity, I jumped on the scale this afternoon. I weighed one more pound than a week ago. However, normally I weigh myself naked, in the morning, after the bathroom & a hot shower. This afternoon it was after two meals, and fully clothed in jeans and a t-shirt, so I have a feeling I have lost a couple pounds. Maybe we will have these babies the first week of JUNE?

Shanana, I've been using the slippery elm as a tea to drink during the day. It's awesome! The reflux is still bad, but not AS bad as it's been. I can at least sleep.

Oh Angela, I REALLY hope you're not here tomorrow to start the next thread.

Heather, I think we're ready for this week. I really do. I checked out Alexandrite jewelry today while power-walking around the mall. I'm ok with a June baby now, because I've been reassured that I don't have to wear pearls.

It damn well better be for the price! Sheeeeesh.

I'm so tired of walking. Done, done, and done. I walked around the mall for a couple of hours with DH (reminded me again why I NEVER go to the mall on Saturdays), had a yummy dinner of steak with shrooms, a baked sweet potato, and applesauce, and then walked around the neighbourhood. I'm done. I want to sit until this child comes.

Angela, make it through your recital? I remember those - though I was always the one boring my mother by being IN them.

I'll hold your baby if you can get mine to come out!

I did. Savannah had fun, so it was worth it (I suppose...) so if this bugger was just being nice to his big sister he can COME OUT ALREADY!

If I'm still here in the morning I'm going into hiding.

I've got early labour signs! Mucous plug, and mild ctx every 5-10 that last 20-30 seconds.

Angela, hope you get some too!

Glad the recital went well. Hope that was all it took and you don't have to exile yourself for the beginning of June.

That.

I refuse to go to the June board. It's normal to go past 40 weeks, and it's a "due date" club, not a "birth date" club, so I'm cool with crashing here and pissing and moaning for another few weeks. Or until they close the DDC on me.

Yay!!! Hope this is it for you!

I'm actually starting to hope that everyone else goes in the next day or so and if anyone has to be birthing in mid-June, it's me. You see, I'm in the perfect situation to reap the benefits of a late baby. I also am notorious for never picking up my cell phone (we don't have a land line, just my cell and DH's cell) and my closest relations are 2 hours away, so I don't have to deal with crazy-ass relatives annoying the crap out of me. Just the crazy people at the synagogue, whom threats of bodily harm seem to be working on.

So I hope everyone goes. Today. And if I go too, so be it! But I want everyone else out of the damn pool! It's pirate swim time and you're all crampin' my style!
