"Run away! Run away!"

Word to the wise, Monty Python is BAAAAAD for labor!

It's 8:30 here and I'm tuckered out. If I have to hear "wow, I bet YOU'RE ready" from another childless person, I'm going to scream. We went to a cookout with friends and it was fun, but sheeeeeeeesh. How many times can you say that in an afternoon?

No real progress to report today. I will NOT be watching Monty Python in the middle of the night, though.

My "sister" who is due the 31st, just had her baby this morning in Prague. She had the perfect 8 hour labor, no complications. Baby boy, named Bela. I'm so happy for her.

But I'm going to be pregnant FOREVER.

still trying all the natural methods to help things along....eggplant parmesian, walking and some more walking, bouncing on birth ball, sex, etc.

we have a labor accupressure guide that dh has been using on me the past couple of days cuz he's getting anxious for this baby to come out now and i just let him do it thinking to myself it's really not doing much. i told him that the baby does seem much lower today, i cant sit with my legs together and he was so excited he said he's gonna continue to do the accupressure every half hour. yay!

by the end of this im gonna have a bunch of bruises all over my body. i feel like a science experiment...

i'm still here... 39 weeks 3 days

i have been trying things to try and encourage him to come out... but he doesn't seem to interested... he is really low for sure- i feel like i can hardly walk sometimes.
i walked quite a bit today, more than i have in ages... maybe he will come tonight.

I'm still here too... 39 weeks and 3 days. I was hoping that baby would come Saturday since Friday was my last day of work and thats how it went with baby #1. No such luck, darn it! I went on a bike ride to the park with Layla, have gone disc golfing three times (our course is a pretty intense one up and down through the woods) and walked the harbor. I think the baby is stuck! LOL. Skipper said he decided I can't have the baby until we've picked a name, so I guess I'm going to be pregnant forever too!

I'm still here. I was only "due" 5 days ago. So while I'm ready, I'm not wayyy overcooked or anything. This is technically the longest I've been pregnant though and not been in labor.
I did kind of feel let down that I didn't have my baby on Sunday though. I truly thought that I would have him/her here by then. Oh well. I'll just be pregnant forever and just get on with life. I'm now making plans everyday to do stuff and just carrying on.

Horrid cramping yesterday, BH all night and one measly contrax early this morning.

That is all.

That's pretty much where I'm at now too. Just carrying on as if my schedule is my own.

Nothing here, but dizziness and fainting, and numb, tingly feelings in my right arm. Can you get carpal tunnel during pregnancy only?
Waiting waiting waiting.

Today is a good day little one. Everyone is off for memorial day. Come on out and play.

Oh yes!! I've been having issues with it since about 36 weeks. I'm wearing a wrist brace as much as I can stand, and it's supposed to go away after birth.

Pam_and_Abigail, I got that during one of my contractions last night. It was creepy. What a yucky feeling.

stillllllllllllllll here.....today is my EDD and i have been having ctx all afternoon and evening. got into the bath and they stayed strong and painful, not enough to make me call the MW yet through after all the false labor this week i don't have the nerve. so i am waiting, with you all, and hopeful for tonight although they are coming now only every five or so and nothing like the pain i had an hour ago....or i would.nt be on the computer at all, good test run if nothing else, WOW......am i ready???

funny i wanted to share with "breeder" i just finished , eat , pray , love and totally loved it, helped me so much to be OK with him not coming because i enjoyed this book so much!!! lettme know when your done and how ya liked it.

Okay, I decided this one needs to come on Saturday b/c dd2 has a performance on Friday night that I HAVE to attend and then she has a recital on June 14th that I HAVE to attend as well....so that will allow me to attend the performance on this Friday AND give me 2 weeks to rest before I have to go out. With the last birth dd2 had a soccer game that I missed due to the birth but the next Saturday I was there with my 1 week old....I would like 2 weeks this time!!!!

I would like to join the club of feeling like I'll be pregnant forever. I still have 4 days until my "due date" but I'm not feeling any major signs that things are progressing, I'm hoping I'll just be one of those people that it sneaks up on.. I'm tired of pregnant sleeping, I'd much rather have not pregnant nursing baby sleeping, at least I wouldn't have to go to the bathroom 10 times at night.. Where is this Zen that ya'll talk about, I would very much like to go there
post #40 of 181
also still here. feeling great, actually, and still in my place of zen. except for when i see people and hear "wow, you haven't had that baby yet?" about a thousand times. then i want to start punching people.

i'd like to have the baby today, of course, whatever happens happens. my family is so laid back, and i spent the day with family yesterday, so that really helped reinforce my zen. they've been guessing june for me this whole trimester, based on family history and the fact that i was carrying small for so long. just seems like this baby needs its time, not that anything's wrong, but it's nice to be surrounded by people that say "well of course you haven't had the baby yet! babies come when they're ready!" instead of people that make me feel like my body is defective for not going into labor 3 weeks before my due date.

i wish everyone had family like that!
