I think every DDC has a person that labors super fast and doesn't make it to the hospital in time. Apprently for the May DDC, that would be me. My water broke on Friday night and I had the baby shortly after. DH delivered me at home just as the EMTs arrived. Baby boy was 9 lb 2 oz and came out without a hitch, healthy as can be. My first birth was pit-induced and this one was completely natural using hypnobabies and I didn't realize I was in active labor because the pain was so much less than in my first labor. There are so many details but I am having a hard time processing and don't think I will be able to post them for a while. All I can say is, the actul birth was fabulous and I think DH and I will seriously consider homebirth in the future.

Wow, sounds like a great birth, but I know what you mean about needing to process . I was kind of in shock for a bit, but felt much better after a few days, writing my birth story, and telling it over and over to whoever would listen!!

congrats! I had a similar hypnobabies birth except mine was a planned homebirth so it turned into a surprise UC

Congratulations! We had a hb with #3 b/c our 2nd was so fast that most of my labor was spent driving to the hospital.
