I get the feeling that he will love it so much, but I am not sure if he is too little for one. Unfortunately, there are no retailers around here that sell them, so I can't go into a store and try one. When I do finally buy one, it will have to be online.

My son started out with a balance bike (homemade out of a TINY little fisherprice bike) last yr at about 18 mths. He is now 2.5 and can ride a 2 wheeler with no training wheels. We also made a balance bike for my 4.5 yr old DD by just taking the pedals and training wheels of her bike. She is also now riding a two wheeler with not training wheels.
