TMI? Are all the tears healed?

I'm 6 wks. pp
Had a 1st degree tear whch was sutured
sutures fell out 3 days pp
re sutured 5 days pp
They appear to have disolved already but I can still see the tear and it doesn't hurt per se but doesn't feel the same when I wipe still.
And stimulation down there doesn't feel the same.
I've been interested in DTD emotionally but physically it doesn't feel the same to the touch even. I can't imagine penetration (<-------is that TMI or what?)

i was thinking of posting about this same topic!

i haven't really looked to see my tear. i am not sure how bad it was, my mw gave me different reports...weird. anyway, she said it looked like it was healing really well, but i'm not sure if it is totally healed. it feels normal - except, dtd yesterday, and it wasn't painful, but there was an uncomfortable sensation and after it felt kinda weird. dp says it feels "different" as well. what does that mean, i wonder? i'm afraid to ask!

ok. tmi.

About 5.5 week PP here. I had a couple of tears, I think one was 2nd degree. My mw told me that I had a small hemmorhoid at birth (I knew that) but that I tore into it partially and she had to stitch into it. Pooping for the most part has been kind of scary this past month...though I always manage fine, it often hurts (told DH it was like pooping broken glass LMAO). So anyway I think I've pretty much healed...but things still feel not quite right down there, and as desperate as I am to DTD, my nether regions cringe at the idea.
DH had to leave for a few days for a work conference. When he gets back I might just have to suck it up, and give it a shot. Most likely it's all in my head.

I'm 10 weeks PP, had a 4th degree tear, and not healed yet.

"Pooping broken glass" is TRUTH.

Yeah, my one midwife told me to put honey on the tear and it would heal right up but I''m scared that'll cause a yeast infection!
I tried the garlic remedy for a yeast infection during pregnancy and it started to cook up in there and got so soft I almost lost it!
I don't think I'm gonna be doing the food in the puss cures unless I become truly desperate....which I guess I'm approaching here......

honey + vagina = YEAST INFECTION (in my case anyway)

wow I'm so glad I'm not the only one!

I really only had skid marks and they seem completely healed at almost 4 weeks PP. My pelvic floor is still kinda funky though - it hurts when I relax fully to pee. Not sure what thats all about but it seems to be improving a bit so I'm trying to be patient.

I'm not resting enough and so still bleeding so I haven't even considered DTD, but think it might actually be okay.. I'm just to chicken to try I think when I hit 6 weeks I won't have any more excuses since it really feels basically okay down there.

I am 8 weeks PP and have healed amazingly well for all the damage I had--long, jagged 2nd degree tear; major bruising and swelling, bladder damage. We dtd for the first time PP 2 nights ago, and it didn't hurt one bit. I was completely shocked because I had very little damage from my first birth but sex hurt until 8 or 9 months PP. I'm beginning to wonder if it has something to do with a difference in the way a MW stitches a tear versus an OB?

Now, pooping on the other hand... Yeah, broken glass describes it well. I have one hemorrhoid, but it's really the fissures that are killing me. They're slowly getting better, but I keep meaning to look up natural remedies.

So, those of you with painful pooping, it doesn't necessarily mean that sex will be painful!

OMG, I almost shouted "YES!" when I read "broken glass." Glad I didn't though, DH would have wondered what I was shouting about, and I'm pretty sure, even though he's seen me give birth and all, that he wouldn't want to know that particular detail...

So anyway, I think my 1st degree tear has healed, although I haven't looked at it yet. Probably should, just to see. My 6 week appointment is turning into an 8 week appointment with rescheduling and all, so the midwife hasn't looked at it yet. The only thing that feels different is when I pee. It used to feel like, say a garden hose. Now it's a fire hose, if you get my drift. I guess things are still a bit "looser" down there.

Well I had my 6 wk PP appointment yesterday. My m/w said I healed perfectly-couldn't have asked for better! I was so surprised. And she didn't seem concerned about the broken glass poo...
So we have the green light for DTD, and she was going to fit me for a diaphragm...and my cervix is too teeny-way smaller than the smallest diaphragm they make!! So now we have to figure out what plan B is...
