Unexpected jump to May DDC

Sorry for intruding on May DDC. I was originally in September DDC, for my baby's due date is September 7th. He just couldn't wait that long and blessed us with his presence on Thursday May 22, 2008...

He was born at 25 weeks gestation and weight a whopping 1lb 10oz. Obviously this is not a safe thing to have happen, but he is here and is my bundle of joy...

Brenda...

Mommy loves you Ezekiel

thanks everyone

He is doing better. The last couple of days, he was suffering with a slight lung infection. It seems to be under control. Thanks for the kind words and the insperation of your stories about 25 weekers making it thru there struggle. It is very stressful, and the time is going by so slowly. He is now 11 days old and I want him to be grown and well enough to come home with me... All I can do is wait, and pray for him to be okay. Right now all I can think about is him and what he must be feeling. If he is in pain, is he okay, is he getting enough air, nurtition, love, care.... the list can go on and on...

Thanks everyone for caring

Brenda

Hey Brenda
My son was born the day before yours...he is in ICU right now too although not a preemie. I can totally understand what you are going thru with the exception of the length of stay. It sucks. It sucks bad. I am glad your little one is safely here, and I am sure he will thrive and do well-please feel free to private message me-I may not be in the same ICU unit, but I am walking similar halls, and know that feeling of worrying every minute, aching to have that normal baby in your arms and being totally and utterly powerless over any of it. If you need to just vent about how bad it sucks or how much you are worried, please do not hesistate to send me a message! My ears are open, and my prayers are with you and your journey ahead! Hang in there, endurance is everything!
