Hey, I was just wondering how you've been doing! Did you find anything to help with the anxious feelings, or how is all that going?

Just wanted to check on ya

Hey! Thanks for thinking of me kalisage. Hard to nak and my 4 year old just discovered the world of computer games on nickjr so it's hard to get on here! I'm good. Anxiety is diminishing which I didn't realize til an IRL friend asked me today about it. At the beginning I was soooo jumpy, could barely handle driving, nd raced across a yard at 4 days postpartum to rescue my 4 year old from some monkey bars... halfway back with her in my arms I realized she wasn't falling but dangling... and they weren't high enough for it to matter much if she did fall! Gah!

I also had all these far fetched bad scenarios in my mind, and although I could talk to mysef about how illogical they were it didn't help. So I decided I would just wait for the hormones to mellow out.

Now I'm a lot better, that stuff has calmed right down. I do still check a lot if the baby is breathing, but that's about the last of the anxiety. Thank the goddess. Anxiety sucks!! I had it in my pregnancy and I just want it to go go go away, yk?

I still do breathing checks on my 3 yr old and he is the third kid.

Does Chamomile tea help you? It really helps with my anxiety.

I'm really glad to hear things are improving! I know getting outside, even just getting the mail can make such a difference. Anxiety does indeed suck & as for the checking on breathing I admit that even 10 yrs later I still check on all of them!

And I'm always reminded of my favorite childrens book, Love You Forever

I never heard about chamomile tea helping, thanks SumnerRain!

Kalisage - omg yeah getting out every day makes all the difference for me. I tend to do a LOT in a day right now, lots of being out and about in the world is very grounding for me. It's physical, and people smile at me because of the babe, and it takes me outside myself which diminishes the anxiety.

At least I'm super happy and cheerful. And outgoing. No depression happening. But damn I wish I wasn't dealing with feeling anxious!
