Nursing pads?

Ok so in times past, I have just used the disposable ones: but today I had this brainy idea come to me.......why not just make some resuseable ones?!?!!? DUH!!! I have tons of fabric that I have stored up (old t shirts and ect).....why not make use of that fabric (maybe then, my hubby would not be annoyed by me saving it...lol) and save myself some money and keep some trash out of the landfills all at the same time!! I am excited about all of this!
I have an idea of how to make them.....but not completely positive...
any suggestions?

My MIL made me a dozen nursing pads from various fabrics I had. The flannel ones ended up sticking to me and were not particularly comfortable, even though I was hoping they would be great since they were the thinnest (two layers) and didn't show. My favorites were the ones she made out of 100% cotton knit, like old t-shirts. They were thicker (3-5 layers) and showed more, but they never stuck to me and were VERY comfy.

She just cut circles of fabric out and sewed around the edges, then trimmed close to the thread. She played around with the idea and some she turned right side out, so the seam didn't show. They were bulkier than the ones she left alone.

I didn't have a serger then. If I were to make them now, I would just serge the edges and be done.

cloth seems to not stick as much as say...paper towels...lol.
I had a friend that told me I could have her disposable pads but she never got them to me, so I was going to buy some from the store (before I had the idea of making them).....but I went to the store and left the store without buying them...at first I was annoyed but now I am glad that I did not buy any......but in the mean time I had been using folded up paper towels, but they would stick and hurt when pulling off and leave pieces of paper towel behind.......so since I still do not have any pads ....I went to using a towel folded up (although this is not a fix for out in public....lol) and the towel has not been sticking as much and is much easier to get off when it does stick....and it does not hurt....but I need to get the pads made...hopefully I can do that this weekend.....
