ok so my disability is up now and I submitted the paper work for the Paid Family Leave benefits. Since this is my first time doing this I didnt know what to expect. I tried calling but couldnt get through. how soon should I be receiving my first check? Im obviously not working and have no other means of income and things are getting pretty tight. I have less than $90 left to last me till my PFL check comes in. I sent in the paper work about a week ago I think. Anyone have experience with this?

IIRC, we got a lump sum after DH's leave was up. :-/ That was in the beginning of PFL though, when DS1 was born (he was born three DAYS after the program started!) They may be faster with it now.
