You know, my LO just started to have a green poo here and there, too. My other kids had them once in a while as well.

I had read in the past that it's an indicator of food allergy or mom's poor diet. SO, with dc#1 I tried the elimination diets, etc...with dc#2 I tried eliminating the main things...now with this one, I just started her on probiotics, but other than that -- forget it, she is just going to have an occasional green poo!!

(I am too hungry to eliminate any food and she doesn't show any other sign of distress.)

Does your lo have any other signs of tummy distress, collic, rash?

Could also be a foremilk/hindmilk issue

yeah that. this would be my first guess. try getting your babe to nurse on one breast longer (in fact i believe that if you have a good milk supply you should be doing ONE breast a feed, not switching at all, so they get all the hindmilk).

see if that helps at all. at least longer feeds on one side.

At about 2wks old my babe started with green poo.
At his 2wk check up the doc said not to worry about it.
It lasted about a week and a half.
I think it may have been a fore milk/hind milk issue....

duh, I totally forgot about the fore/hind milk.
I always have had mine feed on one breast, though.

well im formula feeding... a little bf here and there but almost 100% formula. and no to colic rash or any kind of distress or illness. from what I hear its normal. I even read that it might be because of the iron in the formula... but I just want to make sure its not something major

After 14 days on a dairy-free diet, Caleb's BMs became green and runny. I reintroduced 1 cup of milk in the mornings to my diet. His BMs started becoming more yellow and curdy right away.
So maybe you are missing something from your diet?

If you were EBF your LO I would agree fore/hind milk imbalance or something dietary with you (I had both with ds1 and he had watery green poop). However when you mentioned FF that changes things a bit and I don't have much experience to give an educated guess. If your LO is distressed or uncomfortable another thing (and I hate to even mention it because it SUCKS!) is rotavirus. It gives babes and kiddos explosive green foul smelling poop and it is very contagious. Just FYI.

I have to feed on one side over several feeds to avoid the green poo issue.
