I saw it last night at midnight.

it was okay. The trailer made me really excited to see it and I felt general disappointment when I was walking out of the theater.

definitely go and enjoy the flick and come back to discuss it with me!!

Yep, I went to the 12:01 showing and the movie was pretty predictable and they tried to cram too much story in and nothing had good depth and the men were all pretty one dimensional. There was an awesome scene with Charlotte and another awesome scene with Miranda and Steve, but overall, eh. I don't want to say more because it would all be spoilers.

I bet I know which scenes you are referring to, boys.

I'm going to see it with my dh tomorrow! I don't have high hopes tho. I've heard enough to know I probably won't love it but I've watched every episode so I'm sure I'll enjoy revisiting those characters.

I guess toward the end of the series I grew dissapointed that they went so conventional. I thought the whole idea was embracing independence, and great sex and it seemed like it all came down to marrying Mr. Big which was NOT what the show was supposed to be about. Anyway, I'll be back with thoughts after I see it.

I just saw it and LOVED it! But, it's SATC, not SITC (Sex and the City).

Maybe you had to be a die-hard viewer of the show?

I thought they stayed true to the spirit and the heart of the show and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Also, Cynthia Nixon continues to look amazing.

You are right & I am exhausted! I can not change the title, sorry.

I would love to see it sometime this week. I'll probably go by myself. I don't know if DH will want to go.

No, I was a die harder watcher and I was still disappointed.

I just saw it.

I loved it. Very satisfied. I cried several times. I laughed.

I just loved it and am going again.

And I'm a die harder who's seen each episode multiple times.

Just loved it.

DH and I are going tomorrow. I'm about as die-hard a fan as they come, and my BFF already saw it and liked it (we usually agree on things like movies and she's a big fan, too), so I'm thinking I will like it, if for no other reason than for the nostalgia factor. This will be the first movie DH and I have been to in about 2.5 years, so it could be a documentary about dog poop and I would probably love it.

After reading the review in the NYTimes I knew I'd wait until it's out on dvd. To me it missed its moment and relevance-it's a whole other era now.

I wouldn't go if it were free. Saw the show maybe twice when it came out and hated it.

Saw it last night and LOVED IT. I was (and continue to be) a die hard fan of the show. IMO, it was FABULOUS.

(I don't want to go into what I loved about it because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but if you want details, PM me!)

This exactly. I loved it so much.

I was surprised that I cried so many times.

I agree, there wasn't enough time to get in depth with some of the parts as I would have liked.

Without spoilers, my favorite parts:

Carrie/charlotte/street-GO CHARLOTTE! I was so moved by this part!
Charlotte/water-hahahahaha
waxing
All the throwbacks to various episodes/moments

And the Steve thing was a complete twist. Didn't see it coming at all!

Charlotte..... Loved it.

Steve and Miranda. It just hit me as so real.

Spoilers, please!

Sooooooo.... what happened? Will someone post the spoilers and just black them out or something, so they can be seen when hilighted? I'm just dying to know
