Blech! Blech! Blech! So FREAKIN' sick...

This is misery. I never had any nausea to speak of with any of my other pregnancies, but this one is over the top. I'm sick when I eat, sick when I don't eat...small portions, big portions, eating nonstop...it doesn't seem to matter to the "hurl" factor. I haven't even actually been "sick" yet, it's that edge of constant "I've just been on the tilt o' whirl for a half hour" feeling. Ugh! I can't do anything but sit in a heap. Shoot me now.

Amen, I'm right there with you, sister. I did try Sea Bands and they worked a miracle the first day. But not at all today. I've been on the couch all day unable to eat or drink or stand the smell of food or even think about it. Blech... :

Based on my last 2 pregnancies, I will be sharing your misery for like 9 more weeks. I am usually like this until week 15 or 16. Ugh. Then I have 10 good weeks until the GD sets in and I feel like crap all over again. At least I can control THAT.

That's me. No actual throwing up, but serious nausea. My house is a total mess, and my husband has gone out to the store to purchase the only thing I could think about eating without wanting to throw up more. I am so pathetic.

I am so glad someone started this thread! I am so sick and it's so hard to take care of my 18 month old. Dh has been a huge help but he still has to go to work. Whenever I do anything, like bend over to pick up my ds's blanket off the floor, I stand up, feel dizzy and throw up. My poor child is going stir crazy and our tv, which is normally never on, has been on for hours during the day.
We have no family near by and I can't believe how hard this is. I cannot wait for the first trimester to be over. With my last pregnancy I felt better by 14 weeks. Hang in there everyone!

Me too. Yuck. I wish more people understood how debilitating 24/7 nausea is. Everyone wants to know if you're throwing up--well only a few times, but I feel like I could at any given moment during the day or night.

I have found vitamin B6 to be quite helpful, though. At least I have a few moments now that I feel I can function. But I am so ready for this phase of pg to be over.

I've felt so bad, progressively worse with each pg, that this will be our last. I'd love more kids, but I can't handle anymore pregnancies--unless they find a way to skip the first trimester .

I craved eggs all week but we were out until this morning. Dh finally cooked up a batch for me, and just after I finished the last bite, I :Puke

UGH....I had that sooooo bad with my last pregnancy! (not so intense this time yet...knock on wood) I can totally relate. My ex had JUST left me for another woman when teh m/s hit in my last pregnancy and I was soooo sick all day it took all I could just to make cereal or pbj for my other three kids without hurling. Then the jerk had teh nerve to come visit the kids and go around badmouthing me to everyone that my house was such a mess cuz "all I was doing was lying around all day." That man is coming back in his next life as a toilet brush.....

Ginger tea helped me a tad. I just tried to stick with super bland foods cuz NOT eating just made it worse.

Got me some Zofran. Feeling human (although it knocked me out for a few hours). Planning on eating dinner! (Maybe...)

Yep...I have been feeling sick 24 hours.......
forcing myself to eat b/c I get pretty ugly when my bloodsugar gets whacked out.....I feel paralyzed by nausea and it's really holding me back from the declttering I was doing.

I have been feeling absolutely terrible for the last two weeks. When my sister told me she had ms until 17 weeks I decided I couldn't take another 10 weeks of this so after having tried ginger, B6, and sea bands I gave in and called my OB for some Zofran. Yesterday was my 1st day on it and today I almost feel human again! I haven't vomited in 2 days, how novel!

Anyway, I hope everyone else can find a little relief!

That barfing emoticon makes me feel sick to my stomach, blech.

My nausea comes in waves. I moaned and tossed all night, bleh. Stupid curry.

How in the HELL did you eat curry!?

If the old wives' tale about "craving sweets and carbs = girl, craving spices = boy" is true, then I am going to birth the girliest girl to ever walk the planet.

Oh I regretted the curry, don't worry. Never wanted to smell curry again.

Until lunch today that is.

And then regretted it.

What did Einstain say about insanity again?

So glad you are all here.... just got back from throwing up for the 5th time this morning. I puked up my B6 earlier. Broke down, called my MW and asked for some Zofran. DH will bring home this evening. I was supposed to go to NY tomorrow to visit a friend and celebrate her BDay, but can't imagine sitting on a bus for 2 hours if I feel like this.

Counting down the days to the end of the first trimester...

I did the same thing. I'm getting better within the last week or so. I threw up pretty much everyday with my DD, but not this one. I have only thrown up a few times.

I finally gave in and got some Zofran too. I was beginning to get dehydrated from puking -plus I live in AZ and it is hot already so that makes it worse. The Zofran works great, makes me tired but I am keeping stuff down.

Did any of you Zofran ladies notice a little bit of a decrease in how it was working after being on it for a few days? My 1st 2 days were great, but this morning and throughout the day I was feeling nauseas again. Not as bad as before I started, but definitely noticeable. It's just annoying. :

Yes, yes, yes! This is day three for me. Day one and two were a miracle; today, back to not-so-great. Well, still, better than before, but not as good as it was.

I had been taking 8 mg once a day (could take as often as every 8 hours, but it seemed to last more like 12 hours, and I wasn't nauseated in bed). Today I took an extra hit of 4 mg after 8 hours and I still feel icky. What's up with that?

On the up side, it only knocked me out the first day.

What dosage/how often are you on it?
