Many of the kids crafty type items are $0.97-$2.97. Lots of yarn for $0.97, the fun fluffy kind that is usually $6 a skein, iron on patches for $0.50, dont even get me started on the scrapbook stickers and suppies.

I am still traveling by my girlfriend stocked up for me. She spent about $35 and got tons and tons of stuff for me.
I remember her saying, lots of spongebob and dora/diego crafts for $0.97 (quoted $7-$10 full price)
Mosaic art makings for 75% off... I cant wait to get home and explore my new finds.
Iron on patches $.50, stuff like that, she said they had HUGE bins scattered all over the store.
And if you are a teacher/homeschool educator and have thier discount card its an extra 15% off the sale/clearance prices.

Yup.

We just got a new used couch for our playroom and my first thought was "Cool! Now I can buy yarn to knit an afgan. I wonder what colors would be best?"

To get the educators card you need to fill out the form in store at customer service. I just say we 'homeschool' and no one asked for ID but if they did my oldest has a computer printed HS card.

I went to my Joann's and walked out with nothing! I like fabric but I have no time to sew... and didn't care much for any of the yarn that was on sale. But, it all depends on what you are looking for I guess!
