i had nathaniel paul on wednesday the 28th at 5:30 pm. he weighs 8lb 5 oz. and is 20 inches long. my bag of waters started leaking at 7 am. my labor started around noon. at 2pm i walked to the school to get my daughter. i got to the hospital around 4pm. i was only dilated to 4cm. i felt fustrated because it was starting to hurt really bad and i didnt think i could go 3-4 more hours. got checked again at 5pm. and was at 7cm.i could not lay in that bed for the life of me. around 5:25 i was standing next to the bed holding on to my husband. the midwife asked if i needed to push, i said no. next thing i yelled out i needed to sh@# and started to feel the baby's head come down. i thought the midwife was trying to put her hand up me so i swatted it away. it was the the baby's head. i stood there and pushed him out in two contractions. there was no way i could have given birth laying down. i done it standing straight up.
