Hello all,
I posted this in VBAC thread, but thought I might get even more input if I posted here also... the only thing I forgot to type in my original post is that no midwife is willing to do HBAC in my area with out a back up doctor... other than that, my story is copied and pasted below.
I would appreciate all feedback
Thanks a ton!!!

Looking for HBAC friendly doctors
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello all,
I have been a lurker here from time to time, I think this forum is wonderful. I am now in need of some help myself.
I am in the Los Angeles area. I am 30 wks pregnant with my second child, and I knew from the minute the doctor was sewing me up from a c/s with my first that I wanted a home birth next time. I have a wonderful midwife and we have two scenarios going on for my birth with my second. I have tried to find an HBAC friendly doctor for quite some time (Fishbine is way to far, Kline will only do it if you give birth 5 miles from the hospital) and so far our only hope is Dr Wu in Glendale... however he has given me the stipulation that I need to bring him an ultrasound at 36 wks and he may or may not support us if this baby looks like it will be at least a half pound smaller than my first (ridiculous, I know). Our back up plan is to VBAC at Methodist Hospital in Arcadia where my midwife has privledges in a sense and a back up doctor who will only support VBAC in a hospital.
There are my scenarios... I was hoping to find anyone out there who knows of VBAC doctors that support homebirth in case of transfer/emergency. I live in Tujunga which is Northern San Fernando Valley. I would appreciate any input and suggestions of how get the homebirth scenario 100% in my sights, instead of the wait and see game. As it is, I didn't want any ultrasounds or to know how big this baby may possibly as I don't need any potential mental blocks of "baby too big".
Thanks for listening to my story and I'm open to any input and suggestions.
