wow it doesn't seem like it was a year ago...I think it was exactly a year today that I tested for the second time and got a bfp. I suspected since af was supposed to show up on Friday so I tested Sat morning and got a faint line but I thought it wasn't clear enought to say for sure. Sat night we went camping and I didn't want to drink much in case I was preggo so I kept making my own drinks, with barely anything in them
When I passed on the mj, my dh asks if there was something I needed to tell him...I said not yet!
I tried to pass it off as nothing. The next day I took another test and the line came up nice and dark...
fast forward to today, I've got my sweet boy (who I thought was a girl the entire pregnancy hehe!) and although it's not all cake and candy, I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Jeramiahsmommy: I like CO, it's alot different than NC tho... We live in Durango which is pretty much the middle of nowhere so although there is plenty to do it is not the same type of stuff. There's lots of outdoor activites - rafting, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing, camping, biking and I'm sure more. And there are some nice art galleries and there's the train and train museum. But we are 4 hours from the closest big city (Albuquerque) and 6 1/2-7 hours from Denver. Yes it does get cold but it also doesn't get humid
naps: Ok so Jackson was doing pretty well with his naps last week. This week is a whole different ball game! Usually we are up around 8 and he is up for an hour and half to 2 hours before he gets tired. Around 10 I feed him and then put on some music and walk around with him, bounce him and he falls asleep for anywhere from 30 min to 1 1/2 hours. I just sit with him on me because it seems if I try to put him down then he will sleep for maybe 10-30 minutes although this week, he is not sleeping well even on me. I think the morning nap is hard for him because he has to pee so often and it wakes him up. So after I eat lunch around 12-1 he is usually tired again and I feed him again. Sometimes if he falls asleep at the boob I will just sit there with him on my lap and let him sleep. He will sometimes sleep pretty good this way since he can suck if he needs to to get himself back to sleep. I usualy go for a walk around 4-5 and oftentimes he will fall asleep in the sling and do a little cat nap until the walk is over then he is up and raring to go until around 7-8 when I do the bouncing thing again. He will sleep on me until I go to bed around 10.
If it's a day we go to town, he will fall asleep in the car and sling so naps are more frequent but shorter, and the "schedule" get out of whack.
So that's how it's been up til now. Last night was horrible... he got overtired from not napping all day (5-10 minutes here and there) and screamed for awhile
Today he didn't sleep but 10-15 minutes all morning but I laid down with him and nursed around 1:45 and he's been asleep ever since!
I think this age is time when mind and sleep patterns are changing a lot plus for us teething is definitely starting so I'm just trying to go with the flow and try some different things since my "tried and true" strategies haven't been working. And trying extra hard to give my little man some extra love during what seems to be a difficult time.
well he's awake now!! nak
