Getting rid of glider rocker - WWYD?

My glider rocker has a big split in the wood and the company that makes it very generously sent me a replacement. I put the cushions from my old rocker onto the new one since the new ones didn't match my glider ottoman so now I'm left with:

• New cushions (I'm going to hold on to these since they fit my new rocker but are too big for the old one)
• A nice glider rocker without cushions and a split in the wood.

I can't bring myself to throw away the glider rocker because it still works, despite the split. But now it is cushion-less so I can't really donate it. Do you think someone on craigslist or freecycle would want it? I'm sure that an industrious individual could fix it and sew up some cushions.

Any thoughts?

Totally post it on craigslist and freecycle. Perhaps there is some really handy person out there who can custom cut some cushions for it and whip up a cover.

And yeah, keep the new cushions. Is this a Dutalier? Aren't they a great company? I had a set of cushions split and they sent me a new set of cushions. Then they split again (it was in a sunny spot) and they let me pick another set and only pay wholesale which I thought was fair given that I kept it in the sun, even though it explicitly said everyway that to not do that!

Definitely offer it up on Freecycle or Craigslist. Some people might already have appropriate cushions, or be handy at making their own, or might even enjoy the glider without cushions.

It's a Shermag - and they are such a wonderful company!

Thanks for all the advice! I'll definitely post it as a giveaway.
